When discussing Tennis and the law, you never know where you might end up. This article discusses a case that raises a number of legal issues, including issues very relevant to the a few of the author’s areas of practice; contract law, real estate law, property insurance litigation, and general civil litigation. A picture is worth a thousand words.

The lesson here is also relevant to my upcoming article on building a team to help you achieve your desired result. My guess is that based upon the photo, having many tons of earth slide onto the tennis courts through the structure was not a desired result. Of course, planning to deal with unexpected outcomes is also important, but I’ll save that discussion for later.
